 Note:  Students need to have completed the Japan Kids Web and turned in a paper copy.  The assignment was deleted from Edmodo. 

This week in social studies:

Monday:  We will trace the development of Japan and Korea by using National Geographic book sets and completing a graphic organizer for our notes.
Homework:  None

Tuesday:  Culture Activity using artifacts from Japan.  Students will present information learned through their chosen artifact.
Homework:  None

Wednesday:  Culture Activity presentations.
Homework:  None

Thursday:  Origami creations!  Students will create different origami using templates. 
Homework:  None

Week of December 2-6

Hope everyone one had a fantastic Thanksgiving! It was wonderful to be able to be with the family and celebrate with thanksgiving in our hearts:)
We are back to school now with just 3 weeks before our Christmas break.  Work hard and stay focused! Turn in all assignments on time and with your best effort! Finish this first semester strong.

This week in social studies:
Monday:  Japan geography challenge
Homework:  Edmodo assignment: Kid's Web Japan

Tuesday:  Review map for map quiz.  Assign chapter vocabulary.  Japan document based activity.
Homework:   Complete any assignments not completed in class.  Map Quiz on Wednesday.

Wednesday:  Japan Map quiz.  PPT and class notes over Japan.
Homework:  Edmodo assignment due Friday.

Thursday:  Guided reading questions for Chapter 8. 
Homework:  Edmodo assignment due Friday. Complete guided reading.

Friday:  Current event presentations.  Review all new knowledge for the week. Pep Assembly schedule.
Homework:  None
