Week of May 7-11

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a really relaxing weekend. We are coming down to the wire with the end of school.  ONLY 13 days left....3 more Mondays!
Let's finish STRONG!
This week in social studies:
MONDAY:  We will learn about the Incas.  Students will complete Inca questions using a ppt and their textbook as resources.
TUESDAY:  Review for Mesoamerica Unit Test.
WEDNESDAY:  Mesoamerica Test
THURSDAY:  Evaluate the Age of Enlightenment and the ideas through text reading and discussion.
FRIDAY:  Check Daily Geo for the week, current event presentations, and finish the Enlightenment time period.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. End of Course district assessment scheduled for May 14th.
2. Final Exam scheduled for May 17th. (All unit tests for the year will be sent home along with a study guide)
3. 7th grade Awards Assembly scheduled for May 22nd.

Week of April 30 - May 4

This week in Social Studies:
MONDAY:  Scientific Revolution and Age of Exploration Test
TUESDAY:  Label the Mesoamerica Map.  Read articles on Inca, Aztecs and Mayan civilization and complete  venn diagram for note taking. Complete for homework if not done in class.
WEDNESDAY:  Use place mat strategy for note taking using theme set books on the Maya and Inca civilizations. Present information to class.
THURSDAY:  Read in textbook Chapter 11, lesson 3 (pgs. 380-386). Complete questions.
FRIDAY:  Check Daily Geo wk 31 together. Current Event presentation. Mayan Math fun!
