This week in social studies:
Monday: We will begin our fall semester DBQ (Data based question) essay.
Homework: Complete background essay questions if not completed in class.
Tuesday: We will analyze the primary and secondary documents in order to help us answer the question, Why Did Islam Spread So Quickly?
Homework: Complete any missing work.
Wednesday: We will complete our document analysis and share our findings.
Homework: None
Thursday: We will write our rough draft for our essay.

Homework: Edmodo assignment due Wednesday (Connect Safely-passwords)
Tuesday: Constitution Day activities. Video, word search, and class discussion.
Homework: Edmodo assignment due Wednesday (Connect Safely-passwords)
Wednesday: Meet in Computer Lab 112. Webquest "Hajj". Students will write a well written and highly detailed journal entry, using interesting descriptions.
Homework: Complete webquest if not completed in class.
Thursday: We will summarize the life and teaching of Muhammad, and describe any connections to Judaism and Christianity. (Chapter 3, lesson 2 and 3)
Homework: Complete assignment if needed.
Friday: Teacher work day ~ no school for students

Cherokee Families,
We will be providing a FREE shuttle from the Community Blood Center to Cherokee for Open House Thursday evening from 4:45 to 7 p.m. due limited parking. Please take advantage of this service as parking is limited here at the school.
