Monday:  Students will trace the origins of the Enlightenment by using draw/label/caption as a note-taking strategy. 
Homework:  Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday
Tuesday:  Guided reading questions over chapter 16.
Homework:  Study for Vocabulary terms and names quiz on Wednesday.
Wednesday:  Enlightenment terms and names quiz.
Homework:  None
Thursday:  Label a map of South America to begin our study of the Mesoamericans.
Homework:  Study for map quiz over South America.
Friday:  Quiz over South Ameria map.  Current event presentations.

Tuesday:  Students will complete a Ch. 15 Reading Study guide to aid in studying for their test.
Homework:  Study for Chapter 15 test on Thursday.

Wednesday:  Jeopardy review for Ch. 15 Test

Monday:  Age of Exploration, terms and names, 3-2-1 for note-taking.
Tuesday:  Write a letter as if you were a crew member on a ship. Review all vocabulary.
Wednesday:  The Age of Exploration video from Discovery using Write it-Say it strategy.
Thursday: Discovery streaming:  Magellan-Circumnavigation with notes/questions.
Friday:  Current Event presentations, guided reading questions for Exploration Unit.
Homework:  Begin to study for the test. Get study guide signed.

REMINDER:  Map testing is the week of April 16-18.  Please be prepared to do the best you can by eating a good breakfast and getting enough rest.

Tuesday:  Ch. 15, Lesson 2.  We will examine the new scientific theories and discoveries of the 17th century.  We will complete a circle chart for information, and take a quiz for understanding.
Homework:  None

Wednesday:  PPT notes, constructed response questions from text pages 496-507.
Homework:  CR questions if not completed in class.

Thursday:  We will trace the shift of European interest from exploration of Asia to the Americas.  Review activity of scientists and their inventions.  Students will define terms and names for the explorers.

Friday;  No school for students.
