Monday: Arabian Peninsula map using History Alive. (In class only)
Homework: Middle East map test Friday
Tuesday: Complete geography challenge and labeling the Middle East map.
Wednesday: Matrix of the four different regions of the Middle East.
Thursday: Review for test on Friday. Use Edmodo for specific review games and map to prepare for test.
Friday: Middle East map test. Current Event presentation for specific students.

Week of September 17-20
Special Note: Thank you to all the parents and students who were able to come to Open House. I really enjoyed meeting you, and am looking forward to collaborating with you for the success of your child!
Leadership Ranch Field trip date: Thursday, October 11th.
This week in social studies:
Monday: Constitution Day! Meet in computer lab 171 for online activity
Tuesday: Pompeii Webquest in computer lab 171
Wednesday: The Fall of Rome DBQ document analysis for background information
Thursday: Continue working on document analysis. Current Event presentations
Friday: No school for students so that teachers can learn new things!
Edmodo News: Link to Pompeii webquest will be uploaded on Tuesday, just in case students did not finish in class. Also watch for polls and other assignments in order to work ahead on our next unit of study, the spread of Islam. Make sure you have completed the Constitution Survey from this past week.

NOTE: All Leadership Ranch permission slips are due on Monday! Money must be included. The field trip is Friday. Make sure you wear comfortable "outdoor" clothing and tennis shoes.

Monday: Students are comparing the steps taken by archaeologists to uncover evidence from the past. They will use inquiry skills and complete a note-taking template.
Homework: Interview an adult about 9/11.
UNIT ONE TEST on THURSDAY. STUDY!!
Tuesday: 9/11 activities and share interviews.
Wednesday: Study guide questions - work on them in class and review for test.
Thursday: Unit one test

8 p.m. We encourage families to park at the Community Blood Center and ride the
